i made my first chairmakeover! i called him philippe, i thought that matches the chair! i also send it over to design sponge for their “bevore after” series, and they puplished it yesterday! it was the first time i was brave enough to ask a major design blog to publish one of my works, and i’m so happy they did!

(how clever!) this chair was screaming to have some of it’s wood preserved in it’s original colour. Well done and DANKÄ VIELMOLS…. (pretending to know Baseldytsch when I am a Zürcherin….)
I love what you did with this beautiful chair and I love that you’ve obviously seen the wonderful frame and skillful making of this precious ‘seat’…. I particularly like that you left some of the wood in it’s glorious beauty; I DO like the two colours. I have repainted more stuff white during my life than I can remember; it always gives a clean feel but together with the old skirt of yours….

I LOVE that you left some of the wood unpainted. It’s such a nice surprise and really adds interest to the chair. The fabric is really great with the two tone look, too. Good job!
